Swiss community connection and/or involvement:

Two other Swiss citizens (including my wife) live here in Kiribati. Sometimes we all celebrate 1 of August together on our terrace above the lagoon with a fondue. In our guesthouse we have already been able to accommodate and feed some family members, tourists and sailors from Switzerland. In Australia, I only have contact with two families that I know from the time when we were all still living in Switzerland.

Profile/Motivation: 

I was born and raised in Baden AG. After school I made an apprenticeship in a travel agency. Because music is a big passion of mine I started working as a DJ and  later I work as a salesman in the record department at Jelmoli in Brugg and Zurich. After that I worked for more than 10 years at EMI Records in Zurich. Afterwards I worked for more than 11 years as a purchaser at Mühlebach AG in Lupfig. After 2 years as first Administration responsible and  later as CEO in a public relations company. after that I owned  for 17 years my company specialized in Accounting, tax sheets, administration and organisation. I retired at 60 years and moved to Kiribati. Which was the biggest project in my life. Now we live in a house over the lagoon and have two guest houses.
